How do I verify a dentist’s credentials in Manchester?

Start by checking the dentist’s license on the New Hampshire Board of Dental Examiners website, which confirms active status and any disciplinary actions. You can also look for membership in professional groups such as the American Dental Association. Verify that the practice maintains current certifications for any specialized procedures you may need.

What should I look for in patient reviews?

Focus on recent reviews that mention the dentist’s communication style, wait times, and comfort during procedures. Consistent praise for thorough explanations and gentle handling indicates a patient‑centered approach. Be wary of repeated complaints about rushed appointments or unresolved billing issues, as these can affect overall satisfaction.

How can I prepare for my first appointment with a new dentist?

Call ahead to confirm the office’s hours, insurance accepted, and any forms you need to bring. Bring a list of current medications, your dental insurance card, and any recent X‑rays if you have them. Arriving a few minutes early gives you time to fill out paperwork and discuss any concerns with the staff.
