How We Compile & Rank Dentists

Transparency about where our data comes from, how listings are ordered, and the limits of that data.

Data sources

Each listing is built from publicly available business information, chiefly public Google Business Profiles. We record the practice name, address, phone number, website, specialty category, geographic coordinates, and the public star rating and review count.

How listings are ordered

By default, practices on city and category pages are ordered by number of public reviews (a proxy for how established and frequently-visited a practice is), then by rating. This is an automated ordering, not an editorial endorsement or a measure of clinical quality. You can compare practices and read their reviews on Google before deciding.

What ratings mean

Star ratings and review counts are aggregated from public sources and reflect patient-submitted feedback on those platforms — not reviews submitted to this website. They are a starting point, not a substitute for your own research or a professional recommendation.

Update frequency & verification

Listing data is refreshed periodically and each page shows a ‘last updated’ date. Information can change between updates, so we recommend confirming hours, services and insurance acceptance with the practice directly before visiting.

Limitations

We don't list every practice, data can be incomplete or out of date, and a listing is not a recommendation. If you spot an error or want a listing updated or removed, contact us.

National Dentist Directory is an independent directory of public dental-practice information and does not provide medical or dental advice.
